NEBRASKA) February 7, 2018 – Tomorrow, Girl Scouts begin selling their famous cookies at booths across Nebraska.

 

As part of the largest girl-run business in the world, cookie lovers can purchase delicious Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, Caramel deLites and other favorites, while supporting Girl Scouts in their communities. All proceeds from the sale of Girl Scout Cookies in Nebraska stay in the state and fund local troops’ activities all year.

 

Girl Scout entrepreneurs across the state will be selling cookies at supermarkets, shopping centers and other hubs of activity through March 10.

 

Cookie customers can find a cookie booth near them by visiting GirlScoutsNebraska.org or downloading the free Girl Scout Cookie Finder app on your smart phone.

 

The Girl Scout Cookie Program not only teaches girls essential entrepreneurial skills but also powers amazing leadership experiences. At cookie booths, members of the public can purchase delicious cookies while supporting girl-driven experiences in outdoor adventures, STEM, travel, community service and so much more.

Grand Island, Neb. – The Grand Island Police Department has completed reports
requesting charges for three 15 year old Grand Island males, one 14 year old Grand Island
male, and one 17 year old Grand Island male for 74 incidents of Criminal Mischief, primarily
involving the use of BB guns, that occurred between late January and mid-February of this year.
Those reports will be forwarded to the Hall County Attorney’s Office where charging decisions
will be made.
Total damage for these incidents is estimated at nearly $30,000.

MARCH 8, 2019 (GRAND ISLAND, NEB.)  — Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP), working with Homeland Security investigators, have arrested a Grand Island man for enticement by electronic device.

NSP became involved in the investigation after receiving information that the suspect was engaging in communications of a sexual nature with an undercover Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agent. The agent was posing as a 14-year-old girl.

Thursday, March 7, NSP Investigators served a search warrant on the home at 2724 Cottage Street in Grand Island. The suspect, Steven Anderson, 20, was arrested without incident.

Anderson was lodged in Hall County Jail.
